Hive Open Mic - Week 104 - Simón Diaz - Tonada de luna llena - Acoustic Cover By @juliolunar
Greetings to the entire community.
On this occasion I decide to make a small tribute to one of the greats of Venezuelan music.
Simón Diaz
From a very young age I listened to this old man with his llanera music. I remember listening to a record with some children singing Christmas songs and from there I liked it.
His warmth, his voice and the composition hooked me.
As an adult I paid much more attention to his songs, until I started to listen to what Simon Diaz really is for me.
Composer of "tonadas llaneras".
Where you feel how you sing from your heart.
The tunes are songs used in moments of work such as milking, farming, hunting, fishing, herding, and many activities that the men of the field do.
while they go about their activities they sing these melodies, many of them were not documented and some have even been lost over time.
Simon Diaz was one of those who was in charge of giving life to this llanero musical genre, which had been dying little by little.
Achieving with total pleasure for the public that they return to take affection for this beautiful musical style, indigenous to my country, Venezuela.
In this version I decided to add my musical style, changing the tone of the song, but in several segments I left that 6/8 so characteristic of the llanera music of my country.
Take a breath and enjoy this version.
Simon Diaz - Tonada de Luna Llena
Yo vi de una garza mora
Dándole combate a un río
Así es cómo se enamora
Tu corazón con el mío
Yo vi de una garza mora
Dándole combate a un río
Así es cómo se enamora
Así es como se enamora
Tu corazón con el mío
Tu corazón con el mío
Luna, luna, luna llena
Menguante
Luna, luna, luna llena
Menguante
Anda muchacho a la casa
Y me traes la carabina jio
Pa' mata este gavilán
Que no me deja gallina jio
La luna me está mirando
Yo no sé lo que me ve
Yo tengo la ropa limpia
Ayer, tarde la lave
La luna me está mirando
Yo no sé lo que me ve
Yo tengo la ropa limpia
Yo tengo la ropa limpia
Ayer tarde la lave
Ayer tarde la lave
Luna, luna, luna llena
Menguante
Luna, luna, luna llena
Menguante (Oh oh oh oh)
A way that I always liked to listen to music is to sit down, take off my shoes and put my feet on the cold floor, that relaxes me, try it and enjoy that moment.
JUST KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO BE, THE REST IS BORN ALONE.
His @juliolunar server from Cumaná-Edo Sucre, Venezuela with great pride says goodbye. Greetings to all!
