Kujang is a typical weapon of the Sundanese people. The Sundanese are a tribe which is an indigenous tribe in the city of Bogor. In Bogor in ancient times there was a Sundanese kingdom called the kingdom of Pakuan Pajajaran. This kingdom became the forerunner of the people of the city of Bogor.
One of the weapons used for war by Pakuan Pajajaran royal soldiers is the Kujang. Therefore, the Bogor city government built a monument as well as an icon of the city of Bogor, namely the Kujang Monument.
The Kujang Monument was built as a tribute to the Pakuan Pajajaran kingdom. Kujang Monument was built in 1982 with a height of about 25 meters from the ground with an area of 26 meters x 23 meters. The Kujang Monument is located at the intersection of three main roads, Padjadjaran, Otto Iskandar and Baranangsiang. This monument is often used as a place to take pictures by visitors to the city of Bogor.
