I like the orange versus orange tree metaphor, iamfranklinn. Yes, it really helps to have a longer term vision. :-)

Cool pic, Luke. :-)

It looks like a wonderful region to visit, Sudip. But the photo of snow made me shiver. I get enough of that in Canada, LOL. I would definitely prefer to travel there during warmer months. :-)

This was a great post, Sam. I agree that there are forces at work that would like to hook us into their agendas. I don't know how organized and linked to each other these forces are. I mean how consciously

Michael, I think this is a great post. Venus Williams is an inspiring example, and I think the take-away from her quotation is a valuable piece of advice too. As you rightly have pointed out.

Lovely pics, fazn123. :-)

I know what you mean, ravivshachar! Our kids are so precious to us. I think we'll feel the same way about them when we're 90 and they're 60 (or whatever the age difference is).

Thank you, Michael. I'm so glad you enjoyed my post. I'm interested to find out that you too have investigated these issues.

This is a really interesting post, Sam. Funnily enough, I recently have been exploring anarcho-capitalism, and trying to figure out what I make of it. The concept appeals to me in many ways. Also, I think

Oh my goodness, ravivshachar. What an intense situation. Sending prayers.

Wow, Jaynie! I can only imagine what you went through. It is wonderful how you tapped into deep inner resources at that time.

Chantha, that seems like an unusual -- and yet creative -- choice of dish to include on a restaurant menu. It really is hard for anyone who was not there at the time to imagine what the Pol Pot regime

Sadman, I like your idea of being on the lookout for problems. As you say, each problem -- or, rather, its solution -- has the potential to become a business.

Very interesting, ravivshachar. I pray for good outcomes.
