was deleting files and stumbled upon this image. As I recall, I was getting an annual checkup during these times, where the results would always point to an allergic reaction, so I tried eliminating and avoiding possible triggers the doctor mentioned. But I only realized this year that the main reason I've been coughing all these years was actually paint fumes. My room barely has ventilation since the windows stay closed and i just keep the AC on.

It got so bad at one point that I was coughing nonstop and even seeing blood sometimes. It really made me wonder what kind of sickness I had, and it genuinely felt like I was dying every time it happens. These medicines, especially montelukast, helped calm it down, but it would just come right back, mostly because I was still painting while taking it, so I was treating the symptoms while still exposing myself to the trigger *sigh

For personal reasons, I decided to stop painting last year december. Since then, I haven't coughed once, which basically confirmed that the fumes were indeed the culprit

Now I joke that if I’m coughing a lot, it just means I’m actually being productive and painting, and if I’m not coughing, I’m not working lol!

But seriously though, I’m scared to start painting again because I'm afraid my allergies will act up 😓
