I stumbled upon Kaji’s piano cover of Fujii Kaze’s "Michi Te Yuku" on TikTok, He started at the bridge,
playing with such intensity as it built toward the chorus

part of the bridge:
Tomo ni te wo hanasu, karuku naru
Michi teyu ku

chorus:
Harete yuku sora mo
Arete yuku sora mo
Bokura wa medete yuku (Ooh, ooh)
Nanimo nai keredo
Subete sashidasu yo (Aah, aah)
Te wo hanasu, karuku naru
Michi teyu ku

Do you know what happened to me as it played? as i listened? as i see him how instensely he moves his hands towards the keys, I broke down in tears. I thought oh how i wish i could play just like him and pour all my emotions through fujii kaze's song like this

kaze's song michi te yuku has always been my comfort song through ups and down, but hearing, seeing kajis interpretation struck a completely different chord. Without a single word spoken, the sheer emotion in his playing shattered the defenses I build up for a long time, I’ve been trying to move on, trying so hard to stay strong and grounded or at least floating along, pretending I’m okay. But this cover made me stop pretending. It crumbled my walls, and for the first time in a long while, I just allowed myself to feel the pain and cry, crying it all out... i thought how lovely a music could do such thing with a persons emotions
