The other side of 'forcing' a healthy life that nobody tells you. Today I had a very strange experience and it is that out of nowhere I went from being 100% to being more or less 10% and I almost went into hibernation mode.
I was out of my apartment all weekend, in fact, it was something I didn't want to do but I had to. I am currently trying to eat in a healthier way, however I have cut back a lot of calories and the difference is noticeable, going from an uncontrolled diet to a more controlled one is felt, and it starts first with tiredness and then with cravings, in my case to eat sweet things but that is another topic... Anyway, I have already gotten used to this, but this weekend I could not get the food I usually eat so my diet was very bad, in addition to not hydrating myself well enough for 4 days, added to other things and stress.
All of this came together until the day I finally returned to my city. In fact, I was already stressed out before because I had to cut two days of my training, but today I was determined to go back to training. However, I didn't have a good breakfast because I didn't have time to restock, and something inside me thought it would be better if I spent the day resting, but the other part of me was feeling that if I didn't go to train, I wasn't committed to this new lifestyle I want for my life. In the end, I went to train and I felt normal. In fact, I decided to keep the cardio at the speed recommended by my trainer because the previous times I was always alternating when I got tired. This time, I kept the pace and I didn't feel tired.
At least that's what I thought. I was on my way home quite excited. I had left things ready to cook lunch. Before arriving, I stopped by a store to buy the things I needed, like eggs and fruit. When I finally got home, it was like automatically my body started to feel extremely tired and my emotions went into a nosedive, it's like I had felt very very sad, I went to bed and from there I couldn't get up anymore because I didn't feel well but it wasn't something physical, but like a strange tiredness, and all this was produced by all these factors that I mentioned before, in addition to my insistence on wanting to go train even though I knew deep down that I should have taken some time to recover and eat well, taking a break is okay, especially if you know that you haven't been at your best. Prioritizing training isn't everything, good nutrition, hydration and a stress-free environment are extremely important for our health.
