What is the one lesson or knowledge you learned this year that benefited you as a lady?
I am capable of achieving many things if I set my mind to it but never by trusting a man. This year I have had contact with many men, mostly for work, and at first they all seem like good and respectable people until you end up knowing them for a long time and you realize that it is not like that, that many times they look at you as a woman but they always have the opportunity to look at you with different eyes. I have also heard men talk nonsense about their wives, I have seen men pay less in jobs and the positions they give to women are quite sexist. I understood that I must trust and believe in myself, not put my trust in men, I accept that not all of them are like that but unfortunately I prefer to be cautious, I already have my circle of trust with my male friends and that circle has closed with them, I am grateful that they have proven to be more respectable.
¿Cuál es la lección o conocimiento que aprendiste este año que te benefició como dama?
Soy capaz de lograr muchas cosas si me lo propongo pero nunca confiando en un hombre. Este año he tenido contacto con muchos hombres, mayormente por trabajo, y al principio todos parecen buenas personas y respetables hasta que los terminas conociéndolos por mucho tiempo y te das cuenta que no es así, que muchas veces te miran como mujer pero en lo que tienen la oportunidad te miran con otros ojos. También he escuchado hombres hablar patrañas de sus esposas, he visto hombres pagar menos en los trabajos y los cargos que dan a las mujeres son bastante sexista. Entendí que debo confiar y creer en mi, no poner mi confianza en los hombres, acepto que no todos son así pero lamentablemente prefiero ser precavida, ya tengo mi círculo de confianza con mis amigos hombres y ese círculo se ha cerrado con ellos, agradezco que hayan probado ser más respetables.
What would you do differently or start doing for yourself next year?
What I would do differently this year would be to try to get more involved in social media, all of this is being something that can be used for a good opportunity and I would also like to take advantage of that boom and do something good about it, both for myself and for others.
¿Qué harías diferente o empezarías a hacer por ti misma el próximo año?
Lo que haría diferente este año sería intentar involucrarme más en las redes sociales, todo esto está siendo algo que se puede aprovechar para una buena oportunidad y yo también quisiera aprovechar ese auge y hacer algo bueno al respecto, tanto para mí como para otros.
