There are people in life that are hardly progressive, believe me, they understand the principles of making money, they're business tycoons, they've cut their teeth in the business world already and their accomplishments make others look rather small to them, however, what makes them backward is that they will always find it difficult to accept that the future will be filled with people who will make more money than them and even in simpler, faster and more sophisticated ways.

They feel that since they became wealthy the old way, no one should be entitled to make it the new way, they're stuck in the monopolistic mentality and competition isn't something that should be extended to the "nobody" who started grinding at the grassroots level.

Surprisingly, these people believe that wealth should only be in the hands of a few because they feel they're the only ones truly capable and experienced to handle it*

.......but deep down, it's more of a sinister desire to stay on top forever. Now with this description, you might be thinking ohhh people like this existed only in 1980, but this isn't true, they're existent in our time, they're even into crypto, buying into the latest opportunities, but still holding on to their rugged beliefs and still trying to curtail, control, influence or curtail others.

They're predictable and this is because they're rigid

A person who's rigid to the concept of money will always be predictable because they follow a similar pattern of actions and are known to react the same way.

two plus two is easily four to them and even when this is true, it gets to a point in time, when people are going to be dealing with multiplications, adding extra zeroes complex-compounding, making multiple profits in business situations so much that it becomes even rare for them to do additions, rather they multiply and deal with big figures.

I know of a fintech guy who built a business app and it was purchased by a company in the US. This changed the financial status of this guy and he easily became a billionaire in naira, a lot of people felt this guy didn't deserve that billionaire status, and most of the people who said this are only wondering why they might never become billionaires but someone in his early 30s already has.

Rigid minds will always believe money should be continuously difficult to earn no matter your efforts, no matter the influence of age, sophistication, or your application of technology and development of abilities. It'll get to a time when the world will change so much and conventionality will no longer be a thing, people will no longer earn money the usual way, the mega rat race in the world will change and those with innovative ideas will leave this rat race.

However, these people who are hoping to leave this race are the ones that'll be targeted by these rigid millionaires, because people stuck in the rat race of life are most beneficial to them, because they get access to control and can easily influence government and agencies to do their biddings.

They find it hard to accept that times are changing and these are the type of people making decisions in government on crypto policies, they're the ones who have accumulated wealth by crooked means, pulls the rug, and shut the doors so others wouldn't do the same, with the hope that the world can belong to them.

Now, these people create the illusion of equality by giving 0.05% of their wealth, spreading it to the masses in a bid to control them and keep them in check, but when they see people moving beyond their means and trying to create their little wealth, they feel threatened and begin their campaign to curtail and control people with bright ideas and narrative.

We easily have people like this in world economies. Now people might think crypto will change this, but it wouldn't. Any system that will be designed to mirror reality will still reek of the old system because even if some of these freaks hate crypto, they'll still buy into it to still try and see if they can continue their control.

Can we stop them?

No, sadly we cannot

This is because they're wealthy, their wealth will always create a validation for their backward. There's no bigger tool to control people other than the threat and intimidation of money. Because of their fear of them, people will easily align and agree with them, giving them more power beyond reckoning.

In the past, racism, and slave trading was easily the way to control others that are considered inferior as a result of their race and color, but nowadays it's different, even people of the same color might use wealth to intimidate and control someone of the same race and origin with themselves and this is because the world is changing.

So because people cannot stop them, they specifically become their toy especially if they're trying to break through, they'll expect a sort of double standards treatment, it's more like "dancing with the enemy" a fitter term is "ass-licking". Let's be factual, the world might change beyond this, but it might not. But at the moment, the only way to escape the fury of people like this is to feed and dine with them. The world is a food chain, these people put you in your place.
