Good morning dear friends, today I want to share the biography of one of the world's icons. A sport that is not very attractive to many, but for others it is very interesting and entertaining as is chess. It is nothing more and nothing less than:
Mr. Robert James Fischer, known in the world of chess as "Bobby Fischer", this peculiar character was born in the city of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States on March 3, 1943. His mother Regina is a smart polyglot nurse of Swiss origin, his father Hans-Gerhardt Fischer a physicist of German origin, although there is controversy about whether this was his biological father because at that time, Hans and Regina no longer lived together since 1939. There are versions that the biological father was the Physical Paul Nemeny of Hungarian origin had an incredible mathematical intelligence, In any case, Regina and Hans did not obtain a divorce until 1945.
Bobby, who at that time was two years old and his older sister Joan, were left in the custody of his mother Regina, who in 1949 went to New York with her children to a small apartment in Brooklyn.
He learned to play chess on his own at the age of 6 years of instructions that came in various games that his sister gave him his hobby for chess was increasing to such a level that his obsession worried his mother who sought help in a psychiatrist. but his behavior did not change, he was not a child prodigy, his development was slow at the beginning, until he was 13 he did not start to excel as a player of superior ability.
After obtaining the title of Grand Master, Fischer at age 14 decides to dedicate himself professionally to chess; since he was 16 years old in 1958 he competes for the first time internationally, showing a brilliant game where he employs unconventional psychological and tactical strategies. His victories were due more to the surprise attacks to counterattack and to the accumulation of small advantages; one of the characteristics was also his fast game where in very few occasions he was in trouble of time. He would always do it in an agile and correct way and it was not surprising that his exceptional talent made him one of the best players in fast games. He went to 4 Chess Olympiads with the team of U.SA in all of them he obtained outstanding results 2 silver medals and one bronze.
Fischer's career coincides with the rise of the Soviet school that dominated the discipline since 1948. At the age of 29, he won the title of World Champion for the first time by defeating the Soviet Boris Spassky in Iceland Reykjavik in 1972 with whom Fischer won credit for ending the hegemony of the 24-year-old Soviets. Where from the bowels of the Kremlin prepare the immediate and urgent recovery of the world title, for the Soviets was something serious. For the old U.R.S.S. the rapid recovery of the title would make it a real state issue, so before its disintegration in 1989 of its 288 million inhabitants, 5 million came to play on a federated basis and more than 50 million played it as fanatics in the unions , factories and military units.

The USSR prepared a champion to compete against a young man named Anatoly Karpov, product of the Soviet schools accompanied by a team of analysts, apart from an army of teachers who made themselves available to his team, arriving at new events in the theory of the game , another group works in Fisher's weak points study "WHAT HAPPENED IN REIKIAVIK CAN NOT BE REPEATED".
But they did not know that Fischer in 1975, decided not to present a defense of the title against Karpov, rejects lucrative offers and retires in California, his image is submerged in oblivion, is dedicated to studying games and openings, does not see anyone, does not go out to the street, the absence of his personality in important tournaments awoke the ghosts of the memory where the lack of testimonies of his fantastic plays led to idolatry, thus giving rise to the myth of Bobby Fischer.
He did not play again until 1992 in an exhibition against Spassky where he was involved in a political altercation since the game was shown in Yugoslavia. country sanctioned by the O.N.U for the Balkan conflict, was accused of violating state sanctions. and the government of E.E.U.U considered him a traitor to the country and includes his name in the list of FBI fugitives.

Years later on January 18, 2008 Robert James Fischer dies at the age of 64 because of kidney failure. He was buried in a simple grave in a cemetery near Selfooss a small coastal town in the southwest of Iceland.
In June of 2010 due to a scandal raised where the mother of a 9-year-old girl named Jinky Yung claims to have had a relationship with Bobby, the girl being the fruit of that relationship. The supreme court of Iceland determines that Fischer's body was exhumed to obtain DNA samples and thus be able to certify the doubts imposed by that woman. Where in August of that same year the results obtained from the test gave Negatives.
And finally Bobby Fisher contributed perhaps more than anyone else to Chess was a popular sport in the West Although his repertoire of openings was not very extensive was known to have a large memory to see hundreds of possible variants.
