Nowadays, there are many options to watch new released movies at home, and movie theaters are aware of this. That is why they are always finding ways to try to keep us going to the movies.
One of my hobbies is going to the movie theater, there is something about the whole experience that never gets old, at least to me. One of my favorites is AMC theater, I like that they have a lot of locations in my area, and offer different services depending on the location.
Movies theater could be pricey, that is why I try to save as much as possible. Things that I do to save money at the movies are:
Going to the movies before noon.
Most movie theaters offer discounts to attend to an early show. I like to take advantage of this, not only save me some money, but going early gives me more time to do other things after the show.
Buying tickets online.
When you buy your tickets online or through the AMC mobile app. they waive the “convenience fee” that is usually more than $1.00 per ticket.
Getting the rewards card.
AMC calls it AMC Stubs Premiere, which is currently $15 dollars per year. It gives you free popcorn and drink refills and upgrades. $5.00 off every time you spend $50.00 dollars. Free large popcorn and large drink on your birthday, they also have a convenient Premiere Member fast line which is very helpful to save time when buying tickets or food.
AMC also offers a free version of the AMC Stubs. However, I think the $15.00 a year option will give you better discounts overall especially, for people like me that still enjoy going the movies fairly often.
