Managing our EXPECTATIONS here on DTUBE! - DTUBE DAILY #37
Hey everyone!
In today's video I want to talk to you all about managing our expectations here on DTube!
We all seek it out. That legendary whale upvote. Primarily for us DTubers, the @dtube upvote, since that's the one we see most often. It leads to high highs and low lows. It rewards us for our creative efforts, but can leave us disappointed when we don't find a video of ours receiving it.
I think it's really important that we learn to manage our expectations for the whale upvote. If we don't learn a way to do this, I believe it'll lead to wearing ourselves out because it'll be too emotionally exhausting. I propose a weekly goal. If you have a weekly goal for receiving whale upvotes, this leads you to less disappointment and expectations for each individual upload, and allows us to focus more on the important things, like the creation process, and growing genuine relationships here on DTube.
My softcap weekly goal is 3 whale upvotes. If I can manage to get 5, that leaves me feeling extremely happy about my efforts and success. On average I'm uploading 7-11 times a week here, so I don't have to worry about getting an upvote every time, and I can focus more on feeling good about what I've created and sharing it with all you here.
Regardless of expectations and goals, I just want to thank @dtube for all they've given me. Being here has been a life changing experience so far. And we've only just begun. :)
How do you all manage your expectations here for whale upvotes? Let me know in the comments below!
Hope you're all having a great day, wherever you are.
Take care,
Jordan
