This is a topic that has been weighing on me a lot recently, but so much more in the past few days.
Providence.

Protective care is what really makes me think deeply on this topic but let's dive into the mind of Jongo to see where I'm going with this...
If we look at the story of Scripture, we know that there is the physical world but also the spiritual. And day in and day out, the dark powers of this world are constantly trying to bring you down.
One verse that has been my go to for years has been:
The powers are there, always trying to tear you down. It's never your fellow human, and I think that's very important to remember.
Back to the mind of Jongo....Going off the idea that there is spiritual wickedness surrounding us, it's only by the grace of God that we are able to survive this world.
And here's where providence comes into place...
Have you ever wondered why God hasn't answered that prayer you have been asking Him for months if not years?
Or what about that trial you are going through that never seems to let up....
Work with my logic here, maybe God is 'keeping' something away from you that could potentially lead to disaster?
I always love to apply these thoughts of mine to my own life and experience, and if you have been following my life story over the past decade or so...You'll know I was once quite successful with my online businesses, but then one April morning in 2017, it all went away.
I lost everything. My income, my home, my business...
So here I am, living in the world. Being a selfish human being. Greedy and literally the 'wretched man' that Paul talks about in Romans....And then poof, I'm humbled.
Maybe, just maybe, God knew that if I continued on that path I was on, I was headed for destruction. And you may just think that's religious mumbo jumbo, but I've seen what happens first hand when we stop putting ourself first, and start living for others.
Things change. And it's always for the best!
Maybe if I continued on that path, I would have ended up in jail...Maybe I would have died in some crazy accident while under the influence (because when I was 'successful' I was literally a drunk).
Maybe....God's providence protected me and He always knew what was best for me. And maybe, even though I was praying for 'wealth' again, He was more interested in my spiritual health.
God always provides! And the past 10 years of my life, even though it's been rough, has been a blessing...Even after losing it all!
