Last week, we were on the road....
This past week, we have been at bible camp :)
Or what my church considers 'camp meeting'. Where a bunch of believers get together for a week and a half, and spend time together, in the Word and breaking bread together.
Like I mentioned before, I brought my son and my mom with me on this little adventure this year. And if this past week was any indication, we will plan to come back again next year, God willing.
I took a few pictures of my kid's time at camp. Every day of the week, they have activities planned for all the kids here. Which is about 30% of all attendees, so that's awesome to see some many young people at these events.
So far, my kid has done archery, rock climbing, horse back riding and camping in a tent with his Dad for the past 8 days. This would have never have happened in my 'old life' and because of my new job, I get to do this twice a year with my family.
Hard to believe this is actually considered work lol
On a spiritual level, it hasn't been the experience I thought it would be. Some of the speakers at camp have been fantastic, while others have been so so. Maybe it's my journey, maybe I expected more substance. Who knows...
I just love that I get to spend time with God and my family in this incredible nature area.
We even had a bear sighting around camp, which got everyone pretty excited lol
