Hey there, fellow Hivers! It feels amazing to be back. Life has been an absolute whirlwind over the past few months, and I can't wait to catch you all up on everything that's been happening!
I was able to join the Kythe Summer Camp 2026 last May, and I'm always grateful to be part of it. It was a 3-day camp, and our destinations were Sky Ranch Tagaytay and Camp Benjamin, located in Cavite.
Two buses have been provided for patients from Tarlac and Metro Manila, accommodating hundreds of children to take part in this summer camp.
On Day 1, we spent our time at Sky Ranch Tagaytay, and the kids absolutely loved it! They had such an amazing experience last year that they insisted we return. This was my first visit to the Sky Ranch Tagaytay branch, and I was truly captivated by the stunning views.
We explore the amusement park first with the kids that were assigned to me, and I'm with PJ, TJ, and Lucas.
We quickly got started and enjoyed all the rides they were eager to experience. I encouraged them to boost their energy, ensuring they had a fantastic time on each attraction.
After the extreme rides, I ask them what attraction they enjoy, and we all have the same answer, as we all enjoy the Log Coaster, drop tower, and the Super Viking.
To conclude our adventure, we unanimously decided to finish with a ride on the Sky Eye, an impressive 63-meter-tall Ferris wheel that offers breathtaking views of Taal Lake. As we reached the top, we were all left in awe of the stunning scenery.
Absolutely, we鈥檝e got our group photo to cherish as a souvenir.
We wrapped up around 3 PM and spent Days 2 and 3 at Camp Benjamin.
We had a variety of activities planned for the remaining days, but on the first night, we were excited to design and create our own mailboxes and let the kids get to know each other.
These mailboxes belong to everyone, and aren鈥檛 they just adorable?
Day 2 was really fun! We formed teams, and I was assigned to the Orange team. We got ready for games and exciting activities that lay ahead
We had a great time playing the games and earned plenty of points thanks to our teamwork.
In the afternoon, the kids were feeling quite tired, so we decided to take a short break. After resting, the kids went to the pool and swam.
And at night, we gather in the hall for our talent night and the eagerly anticipated bonfire, the highlight of this summer camp.
We sang under the moonlight, grilling hot dogs and marshmallows; it was such an amazing experience.
And that's how we wrapped up Summer Camp 2026! Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I can't wait for next year's camp. I truly appreciate the efforts of my fellow volunteers for making this event a success. I also loved the photo booth; it added a special touch to the camp and made it feel even more genuine.
I'm truly grateful to share this moment with you all again! I apologize for my recent inactivity; life has kept me quite busy. I really hope we can catch up soon, my fellow Hivers.
Until next time! 馃
