I know I have shared that date multiple times over the years here on chain....
But there is a good reason for it.
Actually, quite a few :)
Let's go through the dates in the year 2001 and then again in 2015.
So that first picture is me at the ripe old age of 24, holding my brand new baby boy. And he was born....August 2nd. We are told that everything a parent wants for their kids is to end up better than they were. My oldest son is well on his way. He's all grown up and just turned 25, working on his law degree :) To say I'm proud of him would be the understatement of the century. We bookend this post with the first and last pics of him as a baby and then a few years ago, around 20 years old.
The middle 3 pictures have to do with my wife.
I met her at a very interesting time in my life and we got married on....You guessed it. August 2nd.
It's been 11 years and most of them have been quite the struggle. For richer and poorer is literally our story. We got married when my online businesses were doing great. And she's stuck with me since I lost everything. Blessed and forever grateful!
As well, there's a picture of me with my best man and groomsmen from my wedding on...August 2nd ;)
Salt of the earth guys that I've known for almost 40 years now.
Life is a roller coaster. But the ones that matter seem to stick with you no matter what.
I'm so grateful to God for each of these people and my entire family :)
(Plus 2 more sons since my first!!!!)
