I spoke about this a few weeks ago because it popped up on my radar thanks to some Snaps I saw from 
In the glory days of this blockchain, there was a third party service that started a 'loan' company of sorts on chain.
The idea was pretty straight forward...People needed Hive Power for whatever reason, and if you had some extra you could essentially lease it to them and you earned some returns from it.
Lots of crypto projects at that time where doing similar models, but it was very unique on Hive.
I can't remember the name of it to save my life, but I do know there was some drama around the operators of it. And poof, it was gone....
Sucked too because it was such a brilliant model.
So let's do some simple math right now to see what I'm earning currently with my curation efforts on chain...
I snagged this from Hive Stats and it's kind of sad when you think about it. And it's not really my fault per se, well maybe it is....But I've been trying everything to increase my curation APR over the past few months.
So much so, that I literally check 
It doesn't lol
I mean, at all....If I get to a 62 score, I'm beside myself. So I've come to the conclusion that...I kind of suck at this curation stuff lol
So what to do...
Sure, I have delegated to some projects that curate content and that's cool. But that's more of support rather than trying to boost my APR.
But here's where Hive Engine's Lease program comes in!!!

And if you kind of look at the average, I'm getting around 11-12% APR between the 3 leases I have out on the platform.
I'd say that's a lot better than the 7% I've been able to achieve on my own and by my own efforts.
Look, I'm hardy getting rich here. And I don't think I am planning my retirement from getting around 2 Hive a day from my leases....But this model on chain is my absolute favorite.
I'd love to see more people request leases from Hive Engine, and I don't even know if people know this project exists...
But be sure to check it out and fill some leases or request them. This is just another way that Hive continues to be the ultimate #web3 platform where we truly do, get our crypto to work for us.
I am not joking when I say, if the rest of the crypto world knew about what we have right here on Hive, this blockchain would be one of the top cryptos on the markets...But alas, we keep building and keep using this stuff!
