Hello and good morning all,
Today I'd like to share a relief carving I carved awhile back.
The moonlit moose was a fun piece to carve.
My canvas..before
I sketched it on the slab first, then started scratching away.
Getting closer..
Here it is in the raw but the carving finished with details..next up torch
After the torch and some sanding...
Painted the trees first..
Then the background...
Then highlights and the night sky to finish off...
I actually took about 50 or so pictures throughout the process so I could put together this stop motion gif...
