Yesterday was a stark contrast to what you see today. I experienced an immense disappointment that I have never felt before, primarily due to the incompetence of the government and a negative encounter with someone I had planned to visit.
Since yesterday was a day off from my lectures, I had set out to accomplish various tasks that I had been postponing until I had more free time. One of the important tasks on my list was to take my worn-out clothes to a tailor for repairs. However, I have been struggling to find a new tailor to replace the one who currently works for me. This current tailor is dishonest, careless, and extremely negligent. I had personally informed him that if I found another tailor who was better than him, I would replace him. Despite his shortcomings, I must admit that he is skilled in his craft, but his attitude leaves much to be desired.
So far, I have been trying to reach him by phone to confirm if he was at the shop, but he has not been answering my calls. This has disrupted my entire day's plans. Growing impatient, I tried calling him again at a later time, and finally, he answered and instructed me to come to the shop.
When I reached the road, I took a taxi to his place. It had been raining since last night, making the day quite wet. As we approached the road leading to his shop, we encountered a flood along the entire route. No vehicles were able to pass through, and we got stuck with other taxis that were also trying to use the same road. Since it was impossible to cross the water, the driver informed us that he couldn't proceed any further and requested payment for the distance covered. This sparked a disagreement, as he demanded full payment despite not reaching my destination. To prevent the situation from escalating, I paid him in full and returned home to wait for the rain to stop.
Upon arriving home, I tried calling my tailor to explain the flooded road situation, but he didn't answer. When the rain finally subsided, he called to inquire about my whereabouts. I explained the whole issue to him, and he asked me to come over, mentioning that the flood had dried up. I immediately went to the road and took a tricycle to his shop. However, when I arrived, I discovered that the flood was even worse than before. I felt extremely frustrated. The other passengers were all complaining about the poor condition of the roads caused by the government's negligence, but my anger stemmed from having to pay a driver a second time without reaching my destination.
Yesterday was quite frustrating, but fortunately, today was sunny, allowing me to reach his place. On my way there, I decided to take some photographs. If you observe closely, you'll notice certain areas that are restricted. It would be great if the government could address the concerns of the citizens. Nonetheless, this doesn't affect my decision to replace my tailor once a see a better one.
