What is the adequate age distinction between a man and lady in a genuine relationship?
It isn't just where you are from. I think it's a very uncommon thing worldwide and it is generally frowned upon everywhere. It's so because despite what the world says nowadays, most people's expectations in marriage are still as traditional as ever. Most people still believe that the man's role is to provide for his family and while he might be able to in this situation, his wife being richer than him will inevitably find herself spending more than her traditional role allows her to.
Taking this into consideration, it's to be expected that women should generally find partners among more established men than themselves. I've had this conversation with friends before so this is what we determined. Young men and women at a certain age are usually in the same range of progress. A 22 year old man and a 22 year old woman are usually at very close points in their lives. But that's only financially. Mentally, the woman will be far ahead of the guy. What she wants from life and her priorities will be more mature than his. Thus 7 out of 10 times, she will not find her mates mature enough for anything serious. Thus she looks ahead. Older men of about 27 who are more established financially and mentally will catch her eye. They will appeal to her and she to them because they think alike, want the same things out of a relationship and the men who are more established, have the financial backing to properly support her.
All this means is that men take a little longer to catch up with women mentally and be able to support them financially. A 30 year old man will be better equipped to date a 26 year old woman than his mate. So the age difference should be at least four years
