This is a nice question. Will cryptos ever become an acceptable currency? I can't see the future but if I had to guess, I'd say yes. The thing about currency is that while its something we hold and stuff in our pockets, its actually more fluid in its existence than most people realize. What I mean is that currency usually represents the technological advancement of the world. Its a bit tricky so let me explain further.

At first, there was no money. All we had was trade by barter. Very crude and very simple. But at that time man was very crude and very simple. Although not as much as the cavemen. So we traded what we had for what we wanted and life was good. Then we developed more and began using gold, silver and copper coins as currency. This started around 5000 years ago in Mesopotamia. And it was also around that time that men started building castles and raising very tall structures instead of living in huts and tents. From then we progressed to paper money which was a way to reduce the problem of moving bulk funds. Paper money started in China and then began being used in the west in the 17th century. And the industrial age also began in that century. Thus money evolved as man grew smarter and there is no reason for that to change.

So looking at this, I think I can clearly see a pattern. I also see that cryptos were born following the computer age. So it may take time but I think eventually, cryptos will replace the paper bills as currency. So horde your steem now so you'll be rich when the time comes
