In fact, in murder拢r cases, the victim is invariably d拢@d. If the law required the victim to appear in court before a conviction could be secured, no one would ever be convicted for murder拢r.

The law recognizes that crimes can be proved through various forms of evidence. Depending on the circumstances, the court may rely on eyewitness accounts, circumstantial evidence, medical reports, forensic evidence, confessional statements, documentary evidence, and the testimony of investigating officers.
