I’m speechless
More often
than you know,

Wordless
In a desert
With little else to show;

I get lost
Down misty streets
Where I don’t belong
And shouldn’t go,

Still waiting
For your call
On a phone
I no longer own.

It’s insane
This secret life
Of dreams--

Wading undead
Through a rain
Of autumn leaves;

Today I realized
It's almost August
But I’m ahead in fall,

Still looking
For a phone
I no longer own…

Waiting
For your call.
