You make an excellent point, @williams-owb - I know critical commentaries give the impression that there is a 'correct' interpretation of a poem, but the truth is that works of art, especially literary art, are incomplete until the reading audience responds to them. I chose the painting to illustrate the poem because it emphasizes isolation and you're right, the poem is topical and inspired in large measure by feelings of deprivation and working alone away from others - all typical responses to the experience of being quarantined.
