Your use of poetic techniques is commendable. Poems could be interpreted in so many ways depending on the mood of the reader.

I feel the poet is missing or longs for the presence of a favorite hobby, activity, or freedom which s/he is been deprived of as portrayed in lines 1 - 6. For instance, in this time of pandemic where it's not business as usual "we want our friends, favorite sports shows, restaurants etc close to us because without you here the hours freeze solid into ages
