Solitude speaks
In my voice,
Distances
Get a hearing.

I’m not dismayed
By social distancing

I need space

The way a poem
Needs stanzas,
As it unfolds

For spaces are
Empty places,

And there's no distance
Between us.

Ley Lines
Of life and fate,
Not always visible,
Not always straight

Will lead
Direct to me

(I’m not besieged
By quarantines
)

Come tonight.
With woods nearby,
While stars
Pattern the sky

While every atom stands
Attuned
To the radar disc
Of the Moon.
