Nassim Taleb continues his Incerto series with Skin in the Game. Taleb argues that the most efficient arrangements between individuals are those where risks and rewards are symmetrical between parties. Sometimes people can be made insulated from the risks of their decision making. When risks remain hidden from discovery until it is too late everyone suffers.
Taleb is an articulate explorer of risk theory. He is a self-proclaimed Libertarian. In many of his writings, especially Antifragile, Taleb writes forcefully on how the ability of a network or organism to survive or thrive depends on its size or scale. The principles of localization and decentralization are in synchrony with some of the beliefs held by people reading this article. The ability for a human being to use this new internet money – whether it be bitcoin, steem, or anything else should remain untrammeled.
