We are conditioned to believe we have freedom but I have reasons to think otherwise, Covid made it obvious we are far from free beings, we are only free at what authorities see fitting for us until we over-exercise it and they take it away and we dare cross the line.
The level of "freedom" however varies geographically, which makes it looks better in other states or nations compared to others.
China appears to be a no-nonsense nation when it wants you to shut up and keep your opinions or rights to yourself. I am currently dealing with some Chinese and I can tell those guys operates with people in the manner they have been subjected to in China, to exercise dominance over people with power.

There seems to be a lockdown issue in China, perhaps another Covid outbreak has emerged which leaves people no choice but to remain indoors.
There was a fire incident in an apartment on November 24th in Urumqi that caused 10 lost of lives. Following the fire incident was a protest against the lockdown as the loss of lives could have been prevented if it hadn't been for the lockdown. It is crazy to think an apartment is on fire and people can't escape because they are restricted to their homes.

The FTX incident has set the adoption of cryptocurrency back for some years but incidents of this kind, unfortunately, have to occur for us to place priority over decentralized blockchains or comply with big Brothers on how they want things done on centralized platforms.
From the protest, we can see the option to seek a decentralized platform for their voices to be heard was sort after. For some, we wait till we feel the pain before seeking other means of doing things.
The same applies to money, cryptocurrency opens up the option for self-custody, and it is an option worthy of embracing as it eliminates intermediaries.
The events of the present year have a common lesson to learn, to build decentralized platforms or deal with censorship, lock people out of their cryptocurrency wallets or have their accounts shut down.
