I find it interesting how we relate with money, it is a very vital need in our lives, call it the root of evil, the source of happiness or whatever best describe money for you and you are right. The reality though is money is essential for survival and there's no denial about that.
Money's role in our lives makes us react differently to it, some are emotionally attached, some spend without worry, it is for spending after all, while some are conservative, basically we can pull up a handful list of different money relationship behaviors.
A noticeable behavior I tend to pick up quickly and gets under my skin is being penny wise but pound foolish.
Last time I accompanied a friend to do her monthly groceries, we stopped at a restaurant to get some take away for her mom, I was tasty and needed water, on her menu order I asked for a bottled water and she turned it down saying its too expensive here we will get water elsewhere. It was a strange moment, I ignored the act and let it go.
I get to see actions like this every now and then and to be quite frank I try not to let people like this stick around me.
You will find me acting in such manner, when it has to do with my crypto, they represent investment to me as such I wouldn't part with crypto without good reasons if it is not for investment.
I am less keen on traveling further distance so as to get something at a cheaper rate with no major price difference, it will be a complete different case if am so add up and every cent counts, other than that funds set aside for spending isn't going to receive scanty spending behavior from me.
Back on this friend that won't let me have a bottle of water because it costs some cent more, she is in several debts, with me being one of the ones she owes with avoidance attitude. I then get to wonder shouldn't this person be the one to be completely out of debt? I mean people like this seem very disciplined in noticing when a product costs less in a shop than the other.
