We enjoyed the scenic stops on our way to Mount Cook. After our last stop at Peters Lookout, Mount Cook was next.
We arrived at Mount Cook with enough time to walk around and explore the place before returning to Christchurch.
We were told the best time to visit Mt. Cook is in winter for the view of snow it offers but we were still keen on visiting Mt Cook in summer which turned out to be a ride we all enjoyed.
I personally wasn't equipped for a hike so I missed out on a hike to Hooker Valley which is about 4 hours to and back.
So Felix and I intend to visit in winter and by then I should be equipped and in good shape for the hike.
As seen in the photos those that perished at the site are remembered, some are due to climbing, and some due to natural disasters while at the park.
We owe it to ourselves to make Hive great
