For me, it was another hike to the summit, enjoy the views and feel refreshed afterward, but there was a surprise to explore at Godley Head summit, which I didn't know awaits me.
We made it to the top and were proud of us. The little gate with a sign "Godley Head" led us to not only the summit but a war memorial site where circular gun pits were used during World War 2 is situated.
The site gave me a bit of history about World War 2 and satisfied my curiosity about what I was looking at.
It is interesting to set foot on where the great men of World War II gathered to protect their shores.
I also photographed the information boards for those interested in reading about the brief history it offers. Hopefully, they're clear enough to read.
I also found some murals that I will share on Mondays for the street art contest, and we decided to return via a loop, which we got lost 馃榾
