Not until reading Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad few years ago did it dawn on me that we were never taught about money in schools, money as was taught back in school was all about how money evolve from cowries to gold and to fiat where we are today.
Why fiat, what determines printing of fiat, why print more are things we are left to find out life after school and the reality out there is most of us still do not know what our fiat is backed with and all the bad decisions on fiat that affects the majority today.
The Georgia House of Representatives has passed a bill that calls for state education officials to implement a study program based around cryptocurrencies. The bill passed the lower chamber of Georgia on March 8 by a vote of 169-2. The education bill was sponsored by six Republican candidates and has been sent to the Senate for further deliberation. The program outlines 16 areas of financial literacy to be studied by high schoolers.

So with the advent of cryptocurrencies and its continuous growth in popularity, it is increasingly getting difficult to ignore and now making its way to school curriculums.
Cryptocurrencies in schools exposes students to different kind of money, ideas on how money should compare to what it is today. We all want some privacy in our lives and so do students too, therefore the anonymous and decentralized nature of crypto will present appeal to students.
There are more advantages to this, we could be seeing higher interests in students going into developments creating DApps, more interest in blockchain tech in comparison to how older generation were taught in school that are only now learning about crypto.
With cryptocurrencies as a curriculum implemented in schools, a solid foundation for a world of blockchain and where crypto dominates will be laid and the consequence of that against the current system is future generations having that edge to have things in decentralized way over centralization.
