Hive friends that I honor
A few days ago I visited my sister's house to meet her because I haven't seen her for a long time, I traveled about 25 minutes to get to her house by riding a standard speed motorbike. When I arrived at his house we shared stories and joked around, after that I looked around his house, he planted lots of plants as ornamental plants and there were also medicinal plants for daily needs, one of which was the Japanese papaya plant.
alt

When talking about Japanese papaya, of course, friends are very familiar with it, because this plant is very much planted by the community as a plant that is very useful for human life, this Japanese papaya plant has leaves that are similar to ordinary papaya but the shape of Japanese papaya leaves is smaller in size. Compared to papaya leaves in general, Japanese papaya plants are shrubs that are about 5 meters high.
alt

Even though it has the name Japanese papaya, this papaya is not from the land of the rising sun, many sources say that this papaya actually comes from the Central American region, namely Mexico, I don't know why it is called the Japanese papaya. This papaya does not have fruit like ordinary papaya and also the stem is not like other papayas, only the leaves are similar to papaya types, and in Indonesia it is called Japanese papaya.
alt

Indonesian people use papaya leaves as side dishes and various other types of food menus. Apart from being used as a food menu, it turns out that papaya leaves are very beneficial for human health. In the following I will write some of the benefits of papaya leaves
alt

A. Healthy digestive system
Japanese papaya leaves are a type of vegetable that contains a lot of fiber, so consuming papaya leaves regularly can help bowel movements, thereby preventing constipation. Not only iron, the fiber in these leaves is higher than other leaves.

B. Boost the immune system
Japanese papaya leaves also contain high levels of vitamin C. Vitamin C is a class of antioxidants which helps the immune system function to fight disease. Vitamin C also stimulates the growth of white blood cells which function to eradicate germs and foreign substances that enter the body.
alt

C. Prevent Anemia
The iron content contained in Japanese papaya leaves is very high, these leaves contain 100 percent iron, twice that of spinach leaves, iron can help form red blood cells, so you can avoid anemia.

D. Strengthens bones
Japanese papaya leaves contain quite high calcium, even this leaf is claimed to be the highest vegetable, so calcium can strengthen bones and can prevent bone loss, aka osteoporosis.
alt

And there are many more benefits of Japanese papaya plants, especially in the papaya leaves. So consuming Japanese papaya leaves regularly can nourish the body.

Planting Japanese papaya is very easy, and you can multiply the stems by taking old stems and then sticking them in the soil or land that we have prepared. We can take papaya stems by cutting about 25 cm. After we plant and wait about a week, new shoots will grow from the pieces of papaya stems. Then why are is the papaya propagated by cuttings because papaya does not have seeds and the fruit does not reproduce generatively.
alt

This Japanese papaya is not troublesome to care for because it is enough to water it with water when the dry season comes and also to increase the fertility of this plant we regularly apply manure or chemical fertilizers such as urea to these plants, and we cannot plant these papaya plants in pots. because it has a bigger trunk.
alt

From my discussion above I can draw some conclusions
Japanese papaya does not come from Japan but from Central America, namely Mexico.
Japanese papaya is one of the many plants planted by the people of Indonesia and other countries
Japanese papaya does not have fruit like papaya plants in general and what is used is the leaves as vegetables or processed into herbal medicines which are very useful for human health
Japanese papaya plants can cure various diseases such as improving the digestive system, maintaining the immune system, making bones stronger, preventing anemia and other diseases.
Japanese papaya can be planted anywhere, such as in the garden, in the yard and in other places
In propagating this plant, it is usually done by taking old stems and then sticking them in the ground or the place that has been provided, and the maintenance is not too much trouble.
