God is so merciful that He did not limit his love for only believers, God loves everyone equally and he protects everyone. Throughout the Bible, God shows mercy to sinners by giving them opportunities to repent and turn back to Him. His protection is often seen in His patience, His warnings, and His willingness to forgive those who sincerely seek Him. However, the Bible also teaches that those who persist in unrepentant sin should not presume upon God's protection while rejecting His commands.
The greatest protection God offers sinners is salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. When a sinner repents and trusts in Christ, they receive God's forgiveness, spiritual security, and the promise of eternal life.
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise... Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9).
This shows that God loves sinners and He is always waiting for them to repent and live a righteous life.
