I'm on fire and laughing, the rain isn't coming. The place between our first kiss and last word, is the most beautiful dream I've tried to forget.

Burned every letter I promised to keep,
No more holding on dead memories.

Nothing hurts more than what we try not to know,
You alibis can't hold me up,
And explanations are wearing thin.

Waiting room is full of people staring
At their feet and last year's magazines.
I'm alone. It wasn't too long ago, you
Were in my passenger seat
On the way to your appointment
