Once, I was whole and so were you.
But winter came and I couldn't protect you,
you were shattered like glass on the dirty ground.

I hid pieces of my heart in shoe boxes and spiral bound notebooks.
But They found them;
And drowning in their laughter,
my heart became the knives.

You betrayed me.
So I threw you to the wind
and tried to forget.

A girl with summer eyes found you and gave you to the empty chested boy.

She is whispering in the rain,
"Hold on, summer is worth the winter."
And I held you.
