Hello to everyone who loves this fantastic "Feathered Friends Community": Honestly, I don’t want to keep mentioning the weather every single week, but I have to, because it affects the behavior of the birds that visit us. That said, it has been a lovely week overall; we had a pleasant surprise, and it’s great to share the shots we’ve taken for this wonderful "Show-Me-A-Photo-Contest":

Si bien es verdad que a causa de lo que ocurre en la provincia las aves están bastante irregulares, hay aquellas especies que nos visitan a pesar de todo; una de ellas son estos preciosos ¨ejemplares¨ : que sin importar lo que suceda están presentes, obsequiándonos su belleza.
While it’s true that, due to the situation in the province, bird sightings have been quite inconsistent, some species still visit us regardless—like these beautiful "specimens," which show up no matter what, gifting us with their beauty.

Otro ¨ejemplar¨: que nos ha visitado esta semana son estos que cada tanto se acuerdan de nosotros y pasan a saludarnos; el comportamiento es bastante singular, dado que siempre se los ve solos, aunque al llegar la primavera se los ve acompañados con la pareja que forman cada año.
Another specimen that has visited us this week—one that remembers us from time to time and stops by to say hello—exhibits quite unique behavior; they are almost always seen alone, though come springtime, they appear accompanied by the mate they pair up with each year.

Lo que siempre nos motiva a hacer nuestros avistamientos de aves son las cosas particulares que suceden. Un hecho que nos sorprendió ha sido la visita de una pareja de esta hermosa ¨especie: En algún momento ya les había mencionado sobre la diferencia entre el macho y la hembra, solo que esta vez los pudimos ver juntos alimentarse en la copa de los árboles.
What always motivates us to go birdwatching are the unique things that happen. One event that surprised us was the visit of a pair of this beautiful ¨species:¨ I have previously mentioned the differences between the male and the female, but this time we were able to see them together, feeding in the treetops.

La verdad es que siempre celebro cuando salgo al patio trasero con nuestra ¨camara¨ : , porque me permite estar preparado para disparar ante cualquier situación en la que involucren a las aves. Otra semana maravillosa para ver el comportamiento en general de los amigos con plumas.
The truth is, I’m always glad when I head out to the backyard with our camera, because it means I’m ready to take a shot whenever birds appear. Another wonderful week to observe the general behavior of our feathered friends.
