The town in itself is more than the town: more than its streets, more than its faces, more than the sum of all its stories, more than the dogs and cats that greet you, and more than its constant shortcomings and fleeting joys. The town is also the mirror where I find myself and observe myself, not to judge myself or see if I improve or perhaps worsen, no; the town is also the space where I distract the mind while I listen to the conscience. Because some time ago I learned that the mind needs sounds and the conscience, the silence of the witness. Therefore, this town is for me just that, "that space" where I can look from the outside at the guy who likes to take photos in the streets, as if he were someone else (who, by the way, he is, even if at first glance it is not understood)...

El pueblo en sí mismo es más que el pueblo: más que sus calles, más que sus rostros, más que la suma de todas sus historias, más que los perros y gatos que saludan y más que sus carencias constantes y alegrías efímeras. El pueblo es también el espejo en donde me encuentro y me observo, no para juzgarme o ver si mejoro o acaso empeoro, no; el pueblo es también el espacio en donde distraigo la mente mientras escucho la consciencia. Porque hace ya tiempo que aprendí que la mente necesita sonidos y la consciencia, el silencio del testigo. Entonces, este pueblo es para mí eso, "ese espacio" en donde puedo mirar al tipo al que le gusta hacer fotos en las calles desde fuera, como si fuera otro (que, por cierto, lo es, aunque de buenas a primeras no se entienda)...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
