Today's story is simple: I got out of bed around 6:00 AM with a lot to do, but very little desire to do it. There are days when I just wake up like that for no apparent reason. So, after looking around my yard for a while, feeding our pets, and drinking a sort of "smoothie" made with moringa leaves, bananas, aloe, and honey (it's my own recipe; I think it's delicious, but my wife says it tastes like "witch's potion" 😂), I grabbed my camera and went out into the town to wander around...

Lo de hoy es algo simple: Salí de mi cama cerca de las 6:00 AM con muchas cosas por hacer, pero muy pocas ganas de hacerlas. Hay días en los que simplemente amanezco así sin explicación alguna. Así que, luego de mirar mi patio un rato, dar de comer a nuestras mascotas y beber una especie de "smoothie" a base de hojas de moringa, bananos, aloe y miel (es una receta mía, a mi me parece algo delicioso, pero mi esposa dice que sabe a "pócima de brujo" 😂), tomé mi cámara y salí a las calles del pueblo a deambular...

It was around 6:45 AM when I started walking through the streets. As expected on a Monday in August, when schools are closed for vacation, the absence of people on the streets was absurdly complete. But instead, stray dogs and those peering out from doorways seemed to want to fill the void left by humans (and there were also many cats, but I'll leave those for another post, because this one will be solely about dogs 😾). And, truth be told, I felt extremely happy about that somewhat "atypical" number of dogs, all of whom seemed to be watching me. So, without further ado, I started talking to them and taking pictures...

Serían cerca de las 6:45 AM cuando comencé a caminar por las calles. Como era de esperarse un Lunes de agosto, en el cual no hay escuelas funcionando por estar de vacaciones; la ausencia de personas en la calle era absurdamente completa. Pero en su lugar, los perros callejeros y asomados en las puertas de las casas, parecían querer suplir el vacío de humanos (y también habían muchos gatos, pero esos los dejé para otra publicación, porque esta será únicamente de perros 😾) Y, la verdad sea dicha, yo me sentí sumamente feliz por aquella un tanto "atípica" cantidad de perros los cuales parecían observarme todos. Así que, ni corto ni perezoso, comencé a hablar con ellos y a hacerles fotos...

And honestly, I had a fantastic time having those animals practically "all to myself" for a while. So much so that when people and some vehicles started appearing on the streets, I even felt a little "invaded" (the last thing I needed was to develop a phobia of humans; now that would be really strange 😂). But anyway, I made the most of that time with just dogs and cats on the streets, and I think these photos I'm sharing with you today on #Hive express that perfectly...

Y la verdad la pasé fantásticamente bien teniendo durante un tiempo aquellos animales prácticamente "para mi solo", tanto que; cuando comenzaron a a parecer personas y algunos vehículos en las calles, llegué incluso a sentirme un poco como "invadido" (lo único que me faltaba, sentir fobia por los humanos, eso sí que sería algo muy extraño 😂). Pero bien, sea como sea, aproveché al máximo ese tiempo de calles solas solo con perros y gatos, y me parece que estas fotos que comparto con ustedes hoy en #Hive, así lo pueden expresar...
