Street Photography Serie (#1)

Saludos, comunidad, ayer tomé mi móvil y me dí unas vueltas por las calles de mi pueblo - Villa de Cura, en el estado Aragua en Venezuela - dispuesta a guardar las imágenes interesantes que encontrara. Entre las fotos que tomé, la que seleccioné cómo portada es - lógicamente - la que más me gustó. Por la exoresión en los ojos del minino, por el pasito detenido en su patita delantera, porque pude tomarle encuadrado en esa curva de la reja. Por la armonía de colores suaves y por los escombros al fondo que parecieran contar otra historia ¿Cuál? La que su imaginación les inspire.

Greetings, everyone. Yesterday, I took my phone and wandered around the streets of my town—Villa de Cura, in the state of Aragua, Venezuela—ready to capture any interesting images I found.

Among the photos I took, the one I chose as the cover is—naturally—my favorite. It's the expression in the kitten's eyes, the pause on its front paw, and the fact that I was able to frame it within that curve of the fence. It's the harmony of soft colors and the rubble in the background that seems to tell another story. Which one? The one your imagination inspires.

Esta dupla de imágenes me cautivó. En un cielo de un azul intenso me encontré con unas nubes reacias a parecer nubes. Unas formas... random, bizarras, abstractas. No dude en fotografiarlas para incluirlas en mi publicación. No sé si estaban jugando a algo, pero, realmente... ni siquiera parecían nubes 😉

This pair of images captivated me. In a deep blue sky, I came across some clouds that seemed reluctant to look like clouds. Random, bizarre, abstract shapes. I didn't hesitate to photograph them to include in my post. I don't know if they were playing a game, but honestly... they didn't even look like clouds 😉

Interesante imagen del arreglo poco convencional a una casa... pueden observar cómo estos señores tumbaron la parte de abajo de la pared - no sólo el friso - y estaban colocando piedras y pedazos de bloques en los agujeros de los ladrillos originales, reforzándolos. Las líneas de los súper holgados pantalones me hizo recordar la ropa de los años 50 😏 ya que ahora tanto damas como caballeros - al menos por estos lares - los usan más bien estrechos, muy pegados al cuerpo.

Interesting picture of an unconventional renovation to a house... you can see how these gentlemen knocked down the lower part of the wall—not just the frieze—and were placing stones and pieces of blocks in the holes of the original bricks, reinforcing them. The lines of the super baggy pants reminded me of 1950s clothing 😏 since now both ladies and gentlemen—at least around here—wear them rather narrow, very tight-fitting.

Otro minino atrajo mi atención, pero esta vez desde las alturas. El contraste de su níveo cuerpecito con el azul que le rodeaba, las cabillas erguidas a lado y lado, la luminosidad del sol y su total ignorancia de mi presencia forman un todo adorable.

Another kitten caught my attention, but this time from high above. The contrast of its snowy little body against the blue surrounding it, the upright rebar on either side, the brightness of the sun, and its complete obliviousness to my presence created an adorable scene.

Una imagen tan... villacurana. Él mismo convirtió la bicicleta en carreta, en su medio de. obtener el sustento para su familia y para sí mismo. Desde muy temprano recorre las calles con su grito "Se compra hierro, aluminio, motores dañados, aires dañados... ¡Chatarrero!"

Such a typical Villacura scene. He converted his bicycle into a cart, his means of providing for his family and himself. From very early in the morning, he roams the streets shouting, "We buy iron, aluminum, damaged engines, damaged air conditioners... Scrap metal dealer!"
