Yesterday was a stay indoors day. The smoke from bushfires was thick in the air all day, and made physical activity most unpleasant. So my sad little tally, just over 5k, was all around the house.

Newsteem

I'm starting to enjoy the #newsteem at the moment. Bid bots are using their excess VP to manually curate, and that's pretty exciting. My last actifit post received a completely random vote from @boosta, a service I have never been anywhere near previously. I will be interested to see if passive income investors in steem via delegating to bots stick around. Manual curation takes time, but delegating to curation projects may become the next passive investment vehicle.

The coolest initiative I think is what @therealwolf has done with smartsteem. The post is here but basically send at least 1 STEEM or SBD to null and their system will put your post forward to curators for consideration. Very nice, still manual and no guarantee of a vote, and burns some supply in the process.

#newsteem has been a significant change, but even smaller accounts can adapt and grow with some effort. It's early days but I don't think that its all doom and gloom for smaller accounts. Sometimes, getting ahead on STEEM requires adaptability, hence the chameleon picture above.
