The latest update allows for a couple of new rulesets; wands out and going the distance.
I'm going to focus on wands out today. If this post goes well, maybe I'll talk about going the distance later.
When I see the wands out ruleset it invariably seems to appear with the counterspell ruleset which is kind of hilarious.
If it doesn't come with this combination of rulesets then a reasonable approach would be the use of Owster Rotwell to give your team magic reflect damage.
When building a team at level 1 it tends to be very helpful to buff an attack and go hard with whatever that attack is.
Alric
and Obsidian
are both great summoners for the wands out ruleset.
At level 2 you can work to counter whatever your opponent is doing. This tends to be even more powerful than a level 1 approach so long as you can correctly predict what your opponent is doing. In the wands out ruleset you can pretty well predict what your opponent is doing.
At level 2 I would recommend pairing Djinn Oshannus with Bortus to double counter your opponent's play if you have a low mana cap.
This should result in you taking very little damage from most of the lineups available to your opponent.
With a higher mana cap I would recommend pairing Immortalis with Mushroom Seer.
With the point where I have my deck this earth splinter combination can be paired with something like Prismatic Energy near the front.
and a couple of tank healers near the back.
This is certainly not an exhaustive guide for the new wands out ruleset and those with bigger budgets will have more options at their disposal, but I think it's a simple, easy to follow starting point.
I hope this post has been helpful and informative. Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows. I'll see you in the game.
