Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome back to another fresh and juicy Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing good in your lives and enjoying another awesome day with your family and friends while eagerly waiting for the upcoming weekend. Now, if you are one of those who are actively engaging in this Web3 card game, then I hope you are actively playing in this ongoing ranked and Frontier season as well. Now, looking at the clock of the current ranked season, we still have 4 days and 19 hours left before it ends, so time is running out for those who are trying to reach their season goals. So, whether you are aiming to reach a particular league tier and collect those rewards or trying hard this time to secure a place at the top of the leaderboard, I wish you all the best of luck and hope you can reach your target in time.

Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode, as usual, I am currently battling in the highest Gold I league and sitting at around 3715 trophies. My current target is to reach 4200 trophies first and then try to push towards the leaderboard. With less than five days remaining in the season, I will need to keep pushing and shoving if I want to reach my target before the deadline. Moving on to the weekly raffle, I currently have 54 entries, and there is only 1 day and 18 hours left before the raffle takes place. My target this time is to reach somewhere between 61 and 64 entries, so I still have a few more entries to collect before the deadline. Hopefully, I can reach my target before the raffle begins.

Now, today is also my 145th consecutive streak day, and I am glad to say that I am still keeping the streak alive. Today, I got a Pit Challenge along with 200 + 50 bonus Sparks, but unfortunately, I failed to win against the hard level. Even though I could not complete the challenge successfully, my total Sparks balance has now reached 21,995. I will keep playing regularly and try to make better progress in the coming days.

Today, I also opened 6 reward packs that I earned from the last 2 days' rewards. From those packs, I received 1 Epic card, 6 Rare cards, 1 Gold Foil Common card, and the rest were regular Common cards. It was a fairly simple opening this time, but getting an Epic and a Gold Foil card is still a nice result.

Oshannus Unmade

Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title above, today we will be discussing Oshannus Unmade, the cool anti-flying Ranged attacker. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this Neutral monster and its abilities, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.

Oshannus Unmade is a monster type card that was first seen in Splinterlands with the launch of the latest Reward card set. This monster belongs to the Neutral element and the Djinn bloodline. It is a Common type monster card, so it would require a total of 400 CC cards to be upgraded to max level. It costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so you can use it when playing medium to high mana limit matches. It deals Ranged damage to its opponents and at its maximum level, this monster possesses three abilities, giving it a combination of useful offensive stats, anti-flying potential, and protection against indirect attacks.

BRONZE

At Level 3, Oshannus Unmade possesses 2 Ranged attack, 4 Speed, and 4 Health. Even at the Bronze level, it already comes with Dispel, which can help remove magical buffs from an enemy after a successful attack.

DISPEL – Removes a magic buff after a successful attack.

SILVER

At Level 5, Oshannus Unmade possesses 2 Ranged attack, 4 Speed, and 5 Health. Its Health increases by 1 at this level, and it also unlocks Snare, giving it a useful advantage against enemies that rely on Flying.

SNARE – Has a 100% chance to hit and apply Snared to targets with Flying. Snared units lose all bonuses from Flying.

GOLD

At Level 8, Oshannus Unmade possesses 3 Ranged attack, 5 Speed, and 6 Health. At this level, its attack power, Speed, and Health all improve, making it a stronger attacker with better overall stats.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

At Level 10, Oshannus Unmade reaches 3 Ranged attack, 5 Speed, and 7 Health. It also unlocks its final ability, Lookout, which provides useful protection against indirect attacks and enemy Ambush damage.

LOOKOUT – Adjacent units take 1 less damage from attackers with Sneak, Opportunity, or Snipe. Reduces damage from all enemy Ambush attacks by 50%, rounded down.

My Opinion About the Monster

First of all, I think the 6 mana cost of Oshannus Unmade is quite justified when you look at its overall stats. It has a good attack, a large bar of Health at higher levels, and decent Speed that eventually reaches 5. At the maximum level, it gets 3 Ranged attack, 5 Speed, and 7 Health, which makes it a useful attacker that can also survive a reasonable amount of damage. But apart from its stats, I think the abilities are where the real magic happens. First, we have Dispel, which is a good remedy for removing magic buffs from an enemy after Oshannus Unmade successfully hits it. This gives Oshannus Unmade a useful role beyond simply dealing ranged damage. Next comes Snare, which is a pure anti-flying ability. It has a 100% chance to hit targets with Flying and apply Snared, removing all their bonuses from Flying. This is particularly useful against monsters that depend on Flying to evade attacks or gain its other benefits. Finally, we have Lookout, which becomes available at the maximum level. This ability is useful against indirect attacks such as Sneak, Opportunity, and Snipe because adjacent allied units take 1 less damage from attackers using those abilities. On top of that, it reduces damage from all enemy Ambush attacks by 50%, rounded down. This makes Lookout particularly interesting when you are facing an enemy lineup that relies on attacking backline vulnerable targets rather than simply focusing on the frontline. It can provide some extra protection to nearby allies and help reduce the damage they take.

Overall, I think Oshannus Unmade is an interesting Common monster that offers more than its stats initially suggest. It has decent Ranged attack, good Speed, and a solid Health pool for its mana cost. Dispel helps remove magic buffs, Snare makes it a strong counter to Flying monsters, and Lookout provides useful protection against several indirect attack types and Ambush damage. For me, Oshannus Unmade is definitely worth considering without a doubt.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about Oshannus Unmade. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
