Hello, community! Welcome back to my regular progress report on Frontier and Splinterlands tournaments. We are just days away from the middle of the month, which marks the end of the first season of October. The Halloween event I’ve been eagerly awaiting might even take place this week; I’d love to see some skins available for purchase with Sparks, as I haven't spent those tokens on anything that really caught my eye yet.

Bienvenidos a mi ya acostumbrado reporte de progresos en Fronteras y torneos de Splinterlands, en pocos días ya estaremos a mitad de mes y por tanto el final de la primera temporada de Octubre. Es posible que esta misma semana tengamos el evento de Halloween que tanto espero, me gustaría que aparecieran algunas skins que se puedan adquirir con Sparks ya que no he gastado estos tokens en algo que realmente llame mi atención.

Let’s start with the earnings from the tournaments—and to be honest, the results aren't very encouraging. Unfortunately, I ran out of time on this occasion and actually ended up losing money; I failed to submit my battles in some tournaments, so I earned nothing. In the ones I did participate in, I submitted my battles at the last minute, meaning I couldn't properly plan my strategies and ended up at the bottom of the rankings. Still, we did manage to accumulate some liquid SPS.

Comencemos por las ganancias que hemos conseguido de los torneos, y la verdad que no son muy alentadoras. Lamentablemente no me alcanzó el tiempo en esta ocasión y terminé incluso perdiendo dinero porque al final no introduje las batallas en algunos torneos por lo que no gané nada. Y en las que participé, terminé metiendo mis batallas a última hora por lo que no pude pensar bien mis estrategias y terminé en los últimos puestos. Sin embargo, logramos acumular algo de SPS líquido.

This brings our total to 4,427 SPS—a bit disappointing, as I had hoped to be closer to the 5K mark. I could have achieved that if I had participated in every event this week with a clear head to devise solid strategies, but sadly, it wasn't meant to be. For the coming week, however, I definitely plan to participate in all the Modern format events; I already have two active tournaments, and in one of them, I’m currently ranked in the top 10 after the first round. So, we’re off to a good start for the week ahead.

Con esto llegamos a 4427 SPS, un poco decepcionante ya que esperaba estar cerca de los 5K en SPS. Lo hubiera logrado si participaba en todos los eventos de esta semana y con las ideas claras para plantear buenas estrategias pero lamentablemente no se pudo. Para esta semana que viene si que pienso participar en todos los eventos de Moderno ya tengo 2 torneos activos y en uno de ellos ya estoy ubicado entre los 10 primeros en la primera ronda. Así que empezaremos con buen pie esta semana que comienza.

That wraps up my tournament earnings summary. It remains to be seen how much locked SPS we’ll ultimately secure from Modern ranked play; I’m currently around 30th place on the leaderboard, and I believe we’ll get a better reward than what we were receiving before the changes. In any case, I’ll do a before-and-after comparison to examine the changes in detail, since for now, I can only say that the rewards in Glints are much higher than before.

Hasta aquí dejó mi resumen de ganancias en los torneos, queda por ver cuanto finalmente logramos conseguir en el ranked moderno como SPS bloqueado, estoy entre la posición 30 de la tabla de posiciones y creo que obtendremos una recompensa mejor que la que recibíamos antes del cambio. En cualquier caso haré una comparación del antes y después para ver con detalle los cambios, ya que por ahora solo puedo decir que las recompensas en Glints son mucho mayores que antes.

Today, in addition to climbing the ranks in Frontier, I was also scouting for deals on the card market, and I finally managed to get a better price for these two cards: Mahkah Hemlig and Decrepit Windseer. Weeks ago, the prices for these cards had skyrocketed, so I decided to wait—Mahkah, in particular, was over $7! Decrepit Windseer used to be one of the cheapest legendaries in the Core set, and I had missed that opportunity, but this time I didn't hesitate for a second.

Hoy además de rankear en Frontier, también estuvimos buscando ofertas en el mercado de cartas y finalmente pude conseguir un mejor precio para estas 2 cartas: Mahkah Hemlig y Decrepit Windseer. Semanas atrás el precio de estas cartas habían subido exponencialmente, así que decidí esperar, en particular Mahkah estaba en más de 7$! y Decrepit Windseer era una de las legendarias más baratas del set Core y no aproveché el momento, en esta ocasión no lo dudé ni un momento.

Decrepit Windseer is extremely valuable to me because it possesses the "Lineage Tribute" ability right from Level 1—perfect for boosting the stats of my cards with the "Shapeshifter" ability. I was also interested in Mahkah Hemlig for its lineage; it pairs perfectly with the Earth Legendary Archon I bought two weeks ago, as well as with "Brave the Bull" and the "Opportunist" ability. It’s a strategic card, especially when used alongside the "Execute" ability.

Decrepit Windseer es extremadamente valiosa para mi, ya que tiene desde el nivel 1 la habilidad de tributo de linaje, ideal para aumentar las estadísticas de mis cartas con la habilidad cambia formas. Mientras que Mahkah Hemlig, también me interesaba por razones de su linaje, primero porque viene ideal para usarlo con el arconte legendario de tierra que compré hace 2 semanas y también es ideal para usarlo con Brave the Bull y con la habilidad oportunista, es una carta estratégica si la usamos con la habilidad execute.

We are still a long way from completing the Earth class deck; I’m still missing Epic and Rare cards to build a competitive, exclusive Conclave Arcana/Escalation deck that doesn't rely on the infamous Rebellion Core set cards. In a future post, I’ll share more units from this class that I still need to acquire.

Aún estamos lejos de completar el mazo de la clase tierra, me faltan todavía cartas de rareza épica y rara para tener un mazo exclusivo Conclave Atcana/Escalation competitivo que no incluya las infames cartas del set core Rebellion. Now, let’s move on to our endurance test: maintaining the daily spin streak on Lux Vega’s roulette wheel! I’ve kept the streak going for 146 consecutive days, and I have no intention of missing a single day. Although we started the week well—with an extra spin that netted us 875 Sparks in a single day—the rewards for most of the remaining days were cosmetics, and the final one was energy for Frontiers, which added nothing to our Sparks vault.

Pasamos ahora a nuestra prueba de resistencia que es mantener la racha de giros diarios en la ruleta de Lux Vega! Ya son 146 días seguidos manteniendo la racha y no pienso perder ni un solo día. Esta semana aunque empezamos bien, con un giro extra que nos sumó 875 Sparks en un solo día, el resto de la semana fueron premios en cosméticos la mayoría de los días y el último fue energía para Frontiers que no sumo nada a nuestra bóveda de Sparks.

We’ve accumulated a total of over 66K Sparks, and I’m hoping the shop will offer new cosmetics—especially Halloween-themed ones—so we don’t miss the chance to get a themed skin. Now that I have my own cards from the Conclave Arcana/Escalation set and the deck is competitive, I feel the urge to give it a unique identity through skins.

Sumamos entonces un total de más de 66K en Sparks que esperemos que ofrezcan cosméticos nuevos en la tienda y sobre todo de Halloween para no perder la oportunidad de tener un skin temático. Ahora que tengo mis propias cartas del set Conclave Arcana/Escalation y ya son competitivos, siento la necesidad de darle una identidad particular a través de las skins.

This week, I wasn't just testing out the new cards I’d bought for Modern; I was also pushing as far as I could in the Silver bracket to evaluate the rewards in this new format. As I mentioned, the Glint rewards have been excellent so far, and now we just have to wait for the season's end to see how much staked SPS we’ll receive. Because of all this, I couldn't play Frontiers as much as I would have liked, but I did manage to snag a few packs from the daily rewards—let's take a look at what we got.

Esta semana, estuve no solo poniendo a prueba las nuevas cartas que he estado comprando para modern, sino también avanzando lo más que pude en el bracket de plata para evaluar que tal son las recompensas de este nuevo formato que como les dije hasta ahora tiene muy buenas recompensas en glints y solo falta esperar al final de la temporada para conocer cuantos SPS en stake recibiremos. Con todo esto, no pude jugar Frontier todo lo que quisiera pero si logré conseguir unos cuantos packs en las recompensas diarias, echemos un vistazo a lo que obtuvimos.

Interestingly, I didn't use potions while opening these packs; I have barely two alchemy potions left—which I got from reward chests—and my stock of legendary potions is critically low. Even so, we pulled two gold cards; they were commons, but exactly the kind I’m looking for. In this instance, we got the Black Widow and Grand Consul Minion in gold foil, an Epic Death card, and the Water and Earth Archons.

Curiosamente no usé pociones para la apertura de estos packs porque ya las de alquimia apenas tengo 2 que obtuve de los cofres de recompensa y de las pociones legendarias estoy en niveles críticamente bajos. Aún así sacamos 2 cartas doradas, eran comunes pero justo de esas son las que estoy buscando. En este caso obtuvimos la Viuda Negra y a Grand Consul Minion en lámina dorada, una carta épica de muerte y los arcontes de agua y tierra.

Me puse a revisar realmente cuales cartas doradas me quedaban, ya que había puesto a la venta muchas de ellas para completar mis arcontes en aquel momento, por lo que pensé que casi no me quedaban cartas de lámina dorada. Pero para mi sorpresa todavía me quedan muchas de ellas, se salvaron de mi estado de locura por salir de las doradas para obtener DECs suficientes para comprar arcontes. Ya tenemos al rodentian Nim Guard Captain al máximo nivel dorado pero me faltan 2 más que me gustaría llevar al máximo nivel y poder usarlos en el bracket de plata de moderno: Echelon y Vicious Quilliun, son cartas que uso con mucha frecuencia cuando tengo que batallar con Captain Frankie.
