I found the background for this cover art doing a google search for arctic ice. The picture was used in the Harvard Gazette
Take a look at this battlefield and think about who might come out on top
I used to think Llama-Kron was unbeatable. They don't call him Kron the Undying for no reason. My situation looks better when you see the ruleset and realize that I can't miss.

Let's take a look at my lineup
Summoner: Possibilus the Wise
Possibilus increases the health for all of my monsters. All of my melee monsters get trample and reach.
Tank: Torhilo the Frozen
Torhilo can take a beating, especially against magic attacks. When I first started playing Splinterlands last year Chaos legion wasn't out yet. The starter deck included Alric and everyone would magic spam their way through bronze. In the silver league some people who were wise to the strategy would pair Bortus with Torhilo and suddenly those magic teams that had been an automatic win would be dead in the water. Besides soaking up a lot of hits it's easy to forget that Torhilo can dish it in the right ruleset. A ruleset like reverse speed or aim true.
1st position: Sea Monster
Sea monster can also lay down the hits with the aim true ruleset. The sea monster can also be hard to kill if they ever get past Torhilo.
2nd position: Merdaali Guardian
It can take a lot of work, a lot of hits to take on Kron's self healing and it helps a lot to have some healing of your own to go the distance.
3rd position: Deeplurker
Deeplurker hits slightly less hard than Torhilo and Sea Monster but somehow it was Deeplurker that go to do most of the trampling.
4th position: Venari Wavesmith
I love to have the protect ability in my lineup.
5th position (rear tank): Creeping Ooze
I had 1 mana left. From the final position Creeping Ooze does just as much damage as any of my other 1 mana cards. The slow ability was less important with this aim true ruleset, but it still helps to soak up a couple of extra sneak attacks.
Did we win?
Yes. The combination of Mardaali guardian with Torhilo allowed me to survive a ton of magic damage. The other big melee attacks allowed me to do enough damage to take down Kron on his last stand. In the end I dealt 32 damage to Kron, and it turns out that's enough.
Do I like Torhilo?
Yes. A fantastic monster. This is one of my most commonly used Tanks thanks to it's void ability.
What will I try differently next time?
I'm not sure that I would change much. In future battles where I use Possibilus I may be more likely to pull in a tank healer or 2 like I did with Merdaali guardian in this one.
Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows. I'll see you in the game.
I've tried using Google translate to provide some additional languages in my posts recently. It ends up being a little more time consuming than I had expected. Do any of you care? Are you more likely to read a post that's in more than one language? Are you less likely?
