Let’s talk about what it means to “be spiritual”, to “be enlightened”, and to “be love”.
Being spiritual doesn’t mean that I strive for perfection.
It doesn’t mean I’m serious all the time.
Being spiritual doesn’t mean I get up every morning and hug a tree. I don’t do “Om” chants all day. It doesn’t mean I’ll put up with nonsense or bullshit.
It doesn’t mean I walk into Starbucks every morning saying “namasté” to strangers. It doesn’t mean I’m any more or any less human than anyone else. I make mistakes. I goof off. I cuss. I partake in shenanigans.
I get sad, frustrated, angry, grumpy, weird, quiet, loud, moody, pissed off, and silly. Being spiritual doesn’t mean I’ve changed.
It’s not about any of that. What it means is quite simple—I woke up. I recognize and honor the divinity in you, as within me.
We are all learning, growing, blooming, and evolving every day. So let’s relax, have fun, always be kind, and shine the fuck on! Namasté.
