You blink and all of a sudden it's Monday morning and after a very nice weekend that included a chosen 10K run at the BEST DAMN RACE - ORLANDO on Saturday and an NBA Basketball Game at the AMWAY CENTER yesterday, here in Central Florida, our activity meter was on HIGH.
A handful of the races that my wife Tiffany and I participate in are usually in or around downtown's Lake Eola park, which makes for very highly attended running events and it's also an area we frequest as it is kind of the heart of Orlando outside of Disney of course.
With all that said, I saved the main photo I took from Saturday for this post and it's the perfect visual to represent the type of monrning it was, the weather turned out better than I expected as there was a strong chance it would have rained, but it didn't and with the additional pictures I took of the duck and their babies was the icining on the cake.
We did not do our weekly/weekend Activity Walk for obvious reasons, but we did sit in the nose bleed area at the arena for the game and there was a lot of walking up and down stairs and just plain walking to get to our seats and back. We did take the elevator when we parked inititally, but after that; we went all in and used the stairs and passed up on escalators and elevators to get the extra workout in.
Somehow we got up this morning and put in a solid hour under the orange lights for another awesome high intensity interval training session and look forward to our regularly scheduled rest day tomorrow. I'll post the workout later of course.
