The goal was to do an online workout, sleep on the spot and come back the next day.
So as you may know from my previous videos, I have a small house in the countryside that I recently renovated.
It is located about fifty kilometres from Clermont-Ferrand.
In the countryside, at an altitude of 650 metres, in a remote village... it was the perfect opportunity to spend a weekend with cyclists.
Of course, we had to find a corresponding date that went to everyone. It wasn't easy, of course.
This Pentecost weekend was conducive to this event.
Since my accommodation is located in the center of France in Saint-Rémy-sur-Durolle, I called our excursion, the Saint-Rémoise.
We cycled for two days, back and forth.
For everyone's needs, we adapted our schedules.
On Saturday, we left at 1 p.m., despite the heat, because a teammate was working the night before.
On Sunday, we left early in the morning at 8 a.m. to make up for the heat and not go home too late.
On Saturday, everything went well in the extreme heat, here is the detail of the route...
After 60 kilometers, the group split in two.
Saturday night was festive, we had an aperitif with beers and dry sausage from Auvergne...
The barbecue was then embellished with an andouillette, a merguez, a sausage and a pork breast each
Crudités and pasta. [...]
A good night's recovery. [...]
And the return is done in groups of 4 for 80 km and then another separation of the group.
Some 90 km in total and others up to 130+ km
Here are the tracks...
To be continued ...
