Hey, it is already the second week of Sketchtember! The prompts provided by 
The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the comfort prompt was food. 馃槄 I am not that a foodie person but for sure, food makes me happy. Whenever I have a bad or tiring day, I want to go home and eat a filling food. Usually, those instant and easy to prep food. One of my favorite snacks/food is called pancit canton. It has an instant version like those typical noodles in a pack. You can easily prepare this in under three minutes. Just pour hot water into a bowl, submerge the noodles, and put it in the microwave. Done!
Art Process
- I used a thicker brush this time since there are not a lot of details going on. The colors are picked from the original colors of Jijisaur.
I know instant food is bad that is why I am limiting myself to just one or two packs per month. The brand that I usually buy is called Lucky Me!. It comes in five flavors and my favorite is the calamansi (lime). I like mine a little bit zesty.
- One this part, I put drew the noodles using an edge pen. On another layer, I put dots of orange and green for the dehydrated veggies. Adding the shadows in another layer in multiply mode.
Sometimes, I use metal chopsticks because I feel like it is easier to eat the noodles. When I am not lazy I fry an egg with the yolk half cooked. 馃榿 Boiled egg works too! I might throw some furikake (Japanese seasoning) or aonori (green laver) when I am very hungry.
Final Art
- I found a cute background of chicks on the defaults. Very cute! 馃槏 Next is putting a shadow including the text. The Yum! text is handwritten using an edge pen.
I usually it this for an afternoon snack but sometimes, I eat it for breakfast with bread. Carbs on carbs! 馃ぃIf you happen to go to an Asian supermarket, you may want to try Lucky Me! instant pancit canton. 鈽猴笍
