Hewow!
One day, I was scrolling on Pinterest (as usual) I was so fascinated with the neon lights decors. Those decors make a room cozy. Actually, I already have one but I want another design.
I was not really sure what to get and I might get tired of the design. So, had the idea of just buying a glow in the dark tape and then making a design out of it. In case I do not like the design anymore, I can just dispose of it.
Also, very cheap!
So, here are the needed materials for this DIY!
Materials:
Sticker paper
Glow in the dark tape
Cutting board
Scissor/ precision knife / craft knife
Ruler
Optional:
printer
Step 1: Design and print
Make a design in any photo editing software. In my case, I used the Canva app. There is a free version of this app so feel free to use it. If creating a design with letters, reverse them.
Do not forget to double check the final design to avoid double printing and wasting paper.
If you are 100 percent sure of your design, it is now time to print!
~Ahh, is it not satisfying to see your design slowly printing? ~Meheheh
If there is no printer available, you can manually draw your design on sticker paper. I just use a printer because of the shapes and lettering.
Step 2: Cutting process
Cut the design precisely. For me, I used a craft knife to have a clean cut. Scissors are fine too. You can find a nice cheap craft knife on shopping platforms. I bought mine on Shopee.

I used a cutting mat so that my table will not be damaged from cutting, also it is to keep my craft knife from dullness. The measurements are for your guide in cutting.
***Tip: cut them first in big strips before cutting them down into smaller pieces. ***
Step 3: Sticking the Glow in the dark tape
This is the hardest part for me because I have to carefully stick it to the sticker paper. I do not like to waste a single strip of the glow in the dark tape, so as much as I can, I strategically put them in the design.
I made sure that everything is covered to achieve the glow effect!

You can use the tape not only for wall decor but also for safety purposes, directions, on your clothes, bike reflector, etc.
Step 4: Stick it on the wall!
Peel and stick the sticker carefully. Make sure that it is straightly put, if you need a ruler, use it! Probably took me 20 minutes to stick every design on the wall, but it is worth it!
There you have it! A DIY glow in the dark wall decor!
Conclusion:
For me, it turned out great! I choose the words “WORK STATION” to remind myself to focus on what I am working on.
In this corner of my room, I usually do my side works like creating NFTs, writing articles, and a little bit of trading~ mehehe
I do not work on off lights but I just like how it glows when I am about to sleep. It is not really annoying or distracting my sleep. The glow is not that strong at all.
Overall, the materials are cheap, the process is easy to follow, and sparks your creativity!
That is it for this article. I will see you at the next one!
