I wondered what the first thing I say would be after being absent for long. And borrowing words from my good friend, he said the longer you stay away from something, the easier it is not to go back to it. It can very well be applied to writing on Hive. I just knew I had to come back and say a few words, no matter how little.
So, here I am. Wondering how everything is, and how everyone has been. In the past week and a half, quite a number of things have happened, and I don鈥檛 know whether to be worried or not that my offline life is switching to the dramatic side of things. For crying out loud, I鈥檝e not gone back to college yet, lol. That鈥檚 where the drama usually happens.
But it doesn鈥檛 matter, I guess. I鈥檝e learnt a while back to not worry over things I can鈥檛 control, and understand that everything that happens in your life will lead you to a particular moment of truth and beauty. I鈥檝e seen it play out a lot of times, so I鈥檓 eager to behold the beautiful truth that will unfold from this very moment.
Because of the significant entry of someone back into my life, I鈥檝e had to do a lot of thinking. Of life, love, loss, the significance of friendships, purpose, and clarity. Most of all, I鈥檝e been at a near peak of sonder. It鈥檚 an enlightening realization, coming to the understanding that everyone lives a life just as complex as ours. With the intricacies, highs, lows, and all in between.
I think more than anything, it鈥檚 helped me give more grace to others. To understand them more. Because at the end of the day, we鈥檙e all living this life just once. None of us has been here before, so we鈥檙e all pretty much new to everything, and basically figuring things out as we go. How do you flaw a human who鈥檚 just as fallible as you are?
A big part of the enlightenment of my week is learning to enjoy every moment. I know it鈥檚 something we say all the time. Living and loving every moment, but in practicality, not many of us do it, and I鈥檓 included. However, I鈥檓 regaining my happiness each day, and I love it so much for me that I鈥檓 beginning to understand, albeit the hard way, that things will work themselves out.
No matter what. They will. It鈥檚 how life it鈥檚 meant to be. Things will settle in the end.
But in the meantime, I鈥檓 living each day, moment at a time, and finding happiness in all that鈥檚 before me. Even though it may not quite sound like it, there has been a lot of things to make me happy these days, and I鈥檓 glad that I鈥檓 not reminded of this reality far too late.
Hope it doesn鈥檛 take too long to be back here again. My offline world is becoming far more appealing, but Hive has not lost its novelty on me. Not yet.
